‘Billionaire‘ was produced by Pheelz and it serves as her third official single for the year. It comes after the release of her highly accepted record dubbed ‘Power Rangers‘.

Talented singer #Teni, real name Teniola Apata says after listening to #Wizkid‘s new song ‘Joro’, she is pregnant and Wizkid is the father.

Teni made this known via a tweet she sent out on Tuesday, October 1st.

Wizkid dropped the new song on 1st October at exactly 11:59 pm and the song has started enjoying airplay.

Many reading this would have had the same thoughts. #Teni had a hand on 2018 as one of the artistes of the year. If it was a matter of hits, she was the most consistent. Only one artiste had more hits than her. Who? Burna Boy .

And she got the acknowledgements and recognition. There were the wild comparisons between her and Simi. And to be truthful, she had a wonderful year than Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade.

HAS THAT RUN ENDED?
Many expected 2019 to be a extended run from 2018. Still the same act, but now, more amplification in hype and more hits. We also expected a project in the form of EP/album.

Still, that hasn’t happened yet and the quality attributed to Teni as being a hit maker looks doubtful as she has yet to score a hit in 2019. Sugar Mummy, a comical freestyle was poorly received.

The lyrics smacked in deviation from the Teni who provided Askamaya and Power Rangers has yet to achieve commercial success. And while there she has racked up a few endorsements with TomTom and Tecno and also being nominated in the BET award, but when you look at it, Teni is has been missing from the music conversations.

WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED?
Perhaps Teni is finding it hard in transiting to an elite act. She refers songwriting as her hobby and when you factor in show performances, having to tour the world, and having to provide guest features and collaborations, that might take a toll on her.

It’s almost October already with The Headies holding in a few weeks. As at last year, Teni would take home the Next Rated Award without anyone raising an eyebrow but now with the way Zlatan has dominated conversations in the music space this year, he might just emerge as a strong contender

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote was celebrated by friends and family in new York this week following the successful launch of the ‘Africa Center’ in New York which had Bill Gates and Mo Ibrahim in attendance.


At a reception organised in his honour, he was spotted dropping some soft ‘Zanku’ steps as #Teni performed her hit song, ‘For Your Case’.

Often, these singles are always bashed, talked down and the recent one with Masterkraft titled "Charged Up"and most recently with the trio of Ceeza Milli, Kwesi Arthur and Shaydee all led to calls for Cuppy to leave singing and concentrate on her DJ work.

But With Gelato, Should DJ Cuppy Quit Mainstream Singing?
Maybe, but Gelato has shown improvement in her craft. Her “school girl like” voice serves as the smoothening effect which bodies well with Zlatan‘s intensified rap flow. Her call and response with Zlatan is awesome at this point as they put out a good combination effort on this record.

Zlatan‘s added further gloss with his well-famed ad-libs “Ayii“, “Je omo” and credit has to go to P. Prime for the melody entrenched in this beat.

Overall, the chemistry of Cuppy and Zlatan on this record is what makes this track tick. The call and response technique between them, the way Zlatan laid his lyrics on this jam and most importantly Cuppy’s intro at the beginning will make any listener want to listen to the end.
