Nigerian singer, Douglas Agu Jack, better known as #Runtown, has affirmed that the ongoing protests have no leader.
The Afro-pop artist took to his Twitter page on Wednesday afternoon to post a long thread clarifying the fact that the protests have been done so far with no hidden agenda.

Nigerian singer, #Runtown has insisted the proposed protest will go on as scheduled despite warnings from the police.

The singer made this known via Twitter today where he tweeted;” THURSDAY IS THURSDAY !!”
The singer and many other Nigerian celebrities are clamoring for the reformation of the SARS operations. However, Runtown has called for its outright ban.

His tweets on Sunday;” This has gone long enough and now we MUST take action! I’ll be leading a protest to #ENDSARS on Thursday, October 8th, 2020.

They MUST listen to us, they MUST make/effect REAL and VISIBLE changes! Empty promises won’t work this time!!!

Controversial artiste, Naira Marley has backed down with the protest that was to hold today, saying the police Authorities have one week to show changes while Runtown insists the protest would hold whether or not the police are working on reform.

Runtown earlier revealed that he won’t back down on the protest he scheduled for Thursday even after Naira Marley cancelled his.

Nigerian musician #Runtown will release a new song on Friday.
Runtown made this announcement on Tuesday, the 22nd of September via his social pages where he stated that the single, which is titled “Kini issue” will be released on Friday, the 25th of September 2020.

The artist has been quiet on the music front since May 2019, when the Tradition EP and a couple of music videos were shot.

He however has been spending some time with his new bae, Sudanese born Model, Adut Akech who he gave a promise ring to.

#Runtown has apologized to his former label, boss, Okwudili Umenyiora popularly known as Dilly.

The singer took to his social media pages to tender the apology, revealing that there were a lot of things he said to Dilly that was uncalled.

Runtown also reveals that those things he said were a result of the fury in him but that he now regrets ever saying those words.

According to Runtown, himself and Dilly have both spent great moments together before and all those things are what has made him tender and apology.

#Runtown has issued an apology to his former record label boss, Okwudili Umenyiora a.k.a Dilly, for everything he said “in the heat of their misunderstanding”.

The duo have been engaged in a public legal battle which began after Runtown parted ways with Dilly’s Eric Many Entertainment, a move the label claimed was illegal.

Initially, Afro-pop act #Runtown was billed to release his no-feature EP entitled “Tradition” on May 31st but he has decided to make a surprise drop. Before the drop, he decided to stoke up the ember with the release of one of the standout tunes on the EP titled “Emotions”.

As the title suggests, “Emotions” is a lovey-dovey tune that finds the singer in his feelings over a love interest. On the infectious Spellz-produced instrumental, Runtown was unabashedly vulnerable as he repeatedly pledged to give it his all to the girl that has caught his heart.
